It’s easy to complain about life. It’s even easier to complain about our circumstances and struggles. It’s even easier, believe it or not, to complain about everything that was wrong with today.
But what if you found out this morning that all of those difficulties of the day were actually pieces of gold disguised as elephant droppings? would you look at them with a different set of eyes? A different mindset? Would you allow them to “happen to you” (take on the victim role), or would you instead see right through them to the inherent value (gold) they possess?
Try it out just for kicks. Next time you’re in a difficult place, or have a challenging situation, look at that big pile of elephant dung, stick your hand in there and find that golden nugget! (watch out for the nuts and berries!) If you’re not laughing, there’s something wrong with you. Seriously though, try it out and see what happens. You are going to surprise yourself, I promise.
Yes, this is easier said than done, especially once in the middle of the diffculty…but it’s doable. It just takes practice, patience, and perseverance. It won’t change overnight…unless of course you believe it can
