We’ve all had those days (or even weeks!) that seem to go on FOREVER, and one negative thing happens after the next. It is so difficult to see above the clouds when that happens, and so frustrating. Although it might not completely cancel out your bad mojo (but it might!), here are 3 things you can do to switch up the energy and turn things into your favor:
1) Stop allowing it to control you
Thoughts are things, and the more negative you think, the more negative you’re going to experience. Even if you don’t believe me, it’s always worth a shot, right?
2) Replace the negative things that are happening with positive things, and positive thoughts
Say things to yourself like, “today is turning around and positive things are coming my way” or “there must be something I’m supposed to learn from this” or “thank you negative stuff for bugging the hell out of me, but you can go away now, thanks.” Just say it in your head, nobody’s watching 😉
3) Start throwing plates against the wall & breaking them
Okay I’m joking, but it is good to vent. Maybe you can do something less destructive, like working out, taking a jog, meditating, or putting on some boxing gloves and punching the hell out of a heavy bag (guilty!). Alleviating that built up stress and tension can completely change your world around. Try it!
Have you ever taken off in an airplane when it’s completely cloudy, or even raining? If so, you’ve experienced that serene feeling that comes once the airplane ascends through and above the clouds. All of a sudden everything is calm and beautiful, with nothing but clear skies all the way out to space. Try to get to that place when you’re really stressed out and having one of those days that seems to just be getting worse and worse…try to envision yourself above the clouds.
